Prerequisite(s): C or better in HNUR 2611 and HNUR 2505 Emphasis on developmentally appropriate, evidence-based nursing practice for children and families from conception through antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, birth, infancy, childhood and adolescences including, but not limited to, the knowledge, skills, and attributes essential to providing compassionate cultural care to meet the health needs of mother and infant from birth through adolescences experiencing multiple health alterations. A discussion of anatomical, physiological, pharmacological, and nutritional theory is presented. This course includes a 60 hours clinical component for students to integrate both obstetrical and pediatric nursing theory into practice under the supervision of a nurse faculty member
