This course provides supervised clinical experience in the application of vascular sonography skills within hospital and clinic settings. Students will acquire, document, and assess sonographic imaging of the peripheral and abdominal vascular systems under the guidance of credentialed vascular sonographers. Emphasis is placed on the use of gray-scale, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler to evaluate arterial and venous structures. Students will also develop proficiency in applying medical terminology in documentation, composing preliminary sonographic impressions, and communicating effectively with interpreting physicians.
