Prerequisite(s): None Introduces equipment used in the petroleum process and production industry. Course covers many process industry-related equipment concepts including the purpose, components, and operations of tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and cooling towers. Emphasizes the production operator’s role in operating, performing minor maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment. Course topics include basic concepts of piping, tubing (cutting/bending), hoses, fitting, valves, and pumps. Also includes the fundamentals and operation of electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic power and control systems used in production and pipeline operations.
